    WORKSHOP #1             BRIDGE TO SPEECH

“Bridge to Speech is a three-part sign language seminar series that teaches adults how to use signs to facilitate oral speech and language development.  It is being taught by a Speech Language Pathologist and a parent who uses signs to facilitate her own child’s communication development.  Each session is theme-based and targets pre-schoolers and children entering school up to grade two”.

The themes are: 1. Back to school – participants should bring a knapsack with school related items in it. 2. Harvest – participants are asked to bring something with them that makes them think about autumn, harvest, fall 3. Holidays – participants are asked to bring something with them that makes them think about the holiday time near the end of December.
