to promote awareness of the strengths, abilities and needs of those with Down syndrome within educators, medical professionals, and the broader community,
to provide encouragement and supports to those with Down syndrome so they can more readily participate in all aspects of community life,
and to advocate for acceptance and opportunities for persons with Down syndrome in the broader community.
We are grateful to our supporters. Without you we would not be able to serve or assist those in the Down syndrome community.
The Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough is the only organization, in a very large area (Peterborough, Victoria, Clarington, Northumberland and Hastings Counties) to support all facets of life for those living with Down syndrome, as well as their families and caregivers. It is our goal to help these individuals reach their fullest potential and live meaningful, enriching lives, while supporting their caregivers and families.
